Oscar-winning director Kathryn Bigelow may have gotten snubbed for her behind-the-scenes role on Zero Dark Thirty this year, but the Hurt Locker helmer still has a horse in the race as the film is up for Best Picture. Despite losing at the Golden Globes to fellow poli-sci flick Argo, many critics still believe the best film of 2012 was in fact Bigelow’s story about the hunt for Osama Bin Laden starring Jessica Chastain. The feature remains in theaters, thus yesterday’s trip to The Tonight Show.
Zero Dark Thirty opened wide on January 11.
