There is some Tom Hardy news to be had today as the actor continues skirting low and big budget films. Today’s story is in regards to the little guys as he has boarded a pic from director Steven Knight called Locke. The project is being billed as a real-time thriller that takes place over 90 minutes as a man attempts to save his life after receiving a mysterious phone call. Further details are light at this time.
Production on the film will begin later this month over in London according to Screen Daily. Paul Webster, Joe Wright, and Guy Heeley at Shoebox Films will be producing. Steven Knight wrote the script.
This joins an upcoming slate for Hardy that include Mad Max: Fury Road and Animal Rescue. All of this follows a banner year for the actor in 2012 which included the release of This Means War, Lawless, and The Dark Knight Rises. That all bled from 2011 as that year ended with the critically-acclaimed films Warrior and Tinker, Tailor, Soldier, Spy.
