In some late breaking news Tuesday evening, it has been confirmed that Drew Barrymore will indeed be pairing up with Adam Sandler for their third joint effort as originally reported three weeks ago. The film does not have a title right now, but it does have a plot as the project (set up at Warner Bros.) will follow a man and a woman trapped on a family resort with their kids after a disastrous first date. Alas, a Brady Bunch origin story.
The duo are pretty potent as their second starring vehicle together 50 First Dates found nearly $200 million worldwide back in 2004. Before that, it was The Wedding Singer in 1998 which banked $123 million on a much smaller budget. It is a shame Sony gave up on the Sand Man because whatever this turns into, chances are it will make Warner Bros. a mountain of money.
