The Voice returned strong last night despite a significant talent shakeup. The newly-renovated panel of coaches (now with Shakira and Usher in place of Christina and Cee-Lo) found a 4.7 18-49 last night with 13.36 million viewers tuning in, up from last fall’s premiere. It was enough to beat Dancing with the Stars in the key demo which fell dramatically to a 2.3 18-49 while still netting 14.1 million viewers. This is great news for The Peacock as it helped to propel the return of Revolution as well. The scripted drama managed a 2.7 rating in its mid-season premiere which is on par with where it left off.
Update: The Voice adjusted up to a 4.8 18-49, 13.6 million; Dancing with the Stars adjusted up to a 2.4 18-49, 14.47 million; and Revolution adjusted down to a 2.6 18-49, 7.0 million in final numbers.
