Vera Farmiga was on The Tonight Show last night in advance of the debut for her new A&E series Bates Motel. the series has garnered a lot of buzz prior to premiere as it is yet another cable entry in the horror genre which has been kind to several networks. Following in the footsteps of programs like The Walking Dead and American Horror Story, Bates Motel is expected to live up to its Psycho prequel billing by attracting a big audience, and it might just help make Farmiga into a household name. The actress has been around for some time in very major supporting roles. Audiences can recognize her from supporting work in The Departed and Up in the Air as well as more recent thrillers like Source Code and Safe House.
Bates Motel premieres on Monday, March 18.
