John Cusack will not be returning for the Hot Tub Time Machine sequel as previously expected. It is sad, we know, but hey, how about Parks & Recreation actor Adam Scott. According to The Wrap, the actor is now in talks to lead the film opposite the returning trio of Craig Robinson, Rob Corddry, and Clark Duke. It will definitely be interesting to see how the audience responds to this, but considering the original was known more for its laughs than Cusack starring capacity, this should suffice. Even so, the budget will be kept low as we remember the last time around did not gross a whole lot at the box office. Hot Tub Time Machine later became a cult favorite at retail, thus the second effort. Steve Pink is returning to direct, so expect more of the same going forward.
