By Jeff Rosz | May 17th, 2013 Here is yet another Dexter trailer in promotion of the series’ early return set for the end of June. It is more of what we have already seen, but still nothing a die-hard Dexter fan would want to ignore. Take a look. Continue Reading
By Jeff Rosz | May 16th, 2013 Want to see The Hangover with old people? As if you have any say in the matter…Hollywood went ahead and made the movie with National Treasure director Jon Turtletaub. He enlisted a pretty stellar ensemble for the effort as Robert De Niro, Morgan Freeman, and Michael Douglas joined in along with Kevin Kline. Release is set for November 1. Continue Reading
By Jeff Rosz | May 16th, 2013 About a week from now, Todd Phillips’ The Hangover trilogy will come to an end with the release of its third installment. Promotion has been pretty lax so far given the huge turn out for the sequel two years ago, but that might actually be because the thing promotes itself. Also, the good stuff to show is rated R which can be rather difficult to promote. Not to worry though because that is what red-band trailers for for. Continue Reading
By Jeff Rosz | May 16th, 2013 Fans of Guillermo del Toro should be more than impressed with what looks to be one of the final trailers for Pacific Rim. The Warner Bros. blockbuster releases in the heart of July where it will seek to recapture some of that Transformers CGI magic with the addition of del Toro’s creative mindset for monsters. It plays much grittier than the Michael Bay production though as it casts Idris Elba, Charlie Hunnam, Ron Perlman, and others as humanity fights giant aliens. Continue Reading
By Jeff Rosz | May 16th, 2013 This August comes the spin-off series that nobody asked for. Disney Animation’s direct-to-video wing has been working on a film called Planes based on the Cars concept. Several months ago, the Mouse House decided this was big enough to support a feature film roll-out to they spruced up the animation a bit (at least I am assuming) and added a recognizable vocal cast. The voice-over work is not yet complete thus why the animated characters mouth a lot of words in the following trailer, but it is coming none the less and it actually looks, dare I say, better than Cars 2. It is not an incredibly high bar to beat, but considering the merchandising from the franchise alone, this is a going to be a home run for Disney from a financial perspective. Continue Reading
By Jeff Rosz | May 15th, 2013 For those who missed the spots playing on FX this past week, here is the complete trailer for The Bridge which makes its premiere this summer. The show stars Diane Kruger as she attempts to collaborate on a cross-border murder with a Mexican agent. Like The Killing over at AMC, the concept for this came from overseas. Continue Reading
By Jeff Rosz | May 15th, 2013 The last trailer we got for Riddick was more teaser than trailer, but now there is a full blown theatrical one to add to the list of promos for Vin Diesel’s Fast & Furious 6 followup. Its cast list includes Katee Sackhoff and Dave Bautista among others. Release is set for September. Continue Reading
By Jeff Rosz | May 15th, 2013 It looks like Blue Sky Studios is preparing to unwrap the marketing campaign on their non-Ice Age franchise as Epic hits theaters next week. The first teaser has been revealed for the sequel to Rio which will try to follow a well-received series launcher. Jesse Eisenberg and Anne Hathaway are back as well as George Lopez (the tucan) in the voice-over booth. Release is set for April 2014. Continue Reading

By Jeff Rosz | May 14th, 2013 What is the most effective use of time travel? Picking up chicks like Rachel McAdams apparently. That is the premise of a new release coming out this fall called About Time. The trailer dropped today to show a very gentle approach to the sci-fi mechanic more in line with Ground Hog’s Day as a 21-year-old stumbles upon a family secret. It is explained further in the following footage. Continue Reading
By Jeff Rosz | May 13th, 2013 Check out the slew of high-profile shows Fox just unloaded on the net prior to upfronts. The attention grabber is sure to be the Giovanni Ribisi-Seth Green sitcom from Dads from Seth MacFarlane, but Brooklyn Nine-Nine with Andy Samberg and Rake with Greg Kinnear are also making a few waves. Continue Reading
By Jeff Rosz | May 13th, 2013 Premiering at Cannes this month is James Franco’s next serious indie As I Lay Dying. There is no major release set just yet, but the trailer has landed online for the 1930s period drama about a mother’s death and her family’s quest to bury her in a nearby town. Continue Reading
By Jeff Rosz | May 12th, 2013 After a year of hype, the fourth season of Arrested Development will finally be making its way to air at the end of the month. All 15 episodes will be available at one time as the character-based installments of the beloved comedy series hit the net in an effort to drum up support for a feature adaptation. It might just work given every media blog is talking about this, but that will ultimately be up to the fans and producers who undoubtedly would like a bigger budget than a potential Kick Starter campaign could reasonably supply. Continue Reading

Here is the first 30-second spot which shows a ton of pilot footage (and some of that earlier teaser for those who may have missed it.) Continue Reading
