By Jeff Rosz | March 14th, 2013 Yesterday, Jimmy Fallon had a bit of a Little Miss Sunshine reunion as cast members Steve Carell and Abigail Breslin showed up on the late night program to promote separate movies, each coming out tomorrow. Carell received top-billing as his film The Incredible Burt Wonderstone teams the actor with Jim Carrey for the second time of his career as rival magicians representing old and new magic respectfully. Abigail Breslin on the other hand has a much different film entitled The Call in that she will be playing a kidnap victim whose only hope is 9-1-1 operator Halle Berry. Continue Reading
By Jeff Rosz | March 2nd, 2013 Abigail Breslin has a new movie coming out she would like you all to become aware of. The Little Miss Sunshine star took to The Tonight Show last night to plug The Call which stars the actress as a kidnapping victim whose only hope is Halle Berry. Not a whole lot of people are expecting to see the movie in theaters, but odds are this one will play well on basic cable for years as this seems destined for the pay TV replays. Its box office competition when it hits exhibitors in two weeks? The Incredible Burt Wonderstone starring Steve Carell and Jim Carrey and the second weekend of Disney’s Oz the Great and Powerful. By Jeff Rosz | February 21st, 2013 Want to see another trailer for The Call. Done. A second look at the Halle Berry-Abigail Breslin thriller just hit the web for all to enjoy. If this is the first time you are hearing of the pic, it basically has a 9-1-1 operator played by Halle Berry working to save a kidnapped Abigail Breslin. This reminds us of Cellular which starred Chris Evans as Kim Basinger’s savior, but then again so does everything other attempt at the genre. Directing this one is Brad Anderson who directed a pair of television episodes for…you guessed it. The Killing. Continue Reading
By Jeff Rosz | January 11th, 2013 Check out the first trailer for The Call, a movie that has Halle Berry as a 9-1-1 operator on the receiving end of a call from a kidnapped Abigail Breslin. This reminds us a lot of the movie Cellular (as does a lot of things,) but this one seems a more credible even though the gas station scene in the following footage seems a tad ridiculous. It definitely appears that the added factor of Halle Berry being forced to confront a killer from her past will be what makes or breaks the movie. Continue Reading

The movie is set in the future with the Earth under attack by an insect-like race (stop me if you heard this one before). Harrison will play the Commander of Training for the International Fleet. He will not be headlining this one alone as Abigail Breslin and Ben Kingsley are also currently on board for Ender’s Game.
