The new entrants into daytime this year definitely did not help Anderson Cooper’s talk show get back on track. Late Night with Jimmy Fallon had on CNN anchor and daytime talk show host Anderson Cooper Tuesday evening where he participated in a new game to the program called Rock, Paper, Scissors, Pie. The game ended a bit anti-climatically, but it did offer the chance of seeing Anderson get pied in the face. 
On the hopes of growing its audience, Anderson Cooper’s talk show has gotten a second season renewal very early on into its freshman season. Ratings are in the just ‘okay’ at the moment, but growth is expected for this show going forward. With a slew of new daytime competition in the coming years that include the likes of Steve Harvey, Katie Couric, and Jeff Probst that audience expansion might be difficult to find.
