Conan: Jack Black Was Snubbed By Scotty McCreery

Jack Black was on Conan last night to promote his new dark comedy Bernie–a film in which he plays a mortician that goes to great lengths to make everyone believe a wealthy widow was alive after he kills her.  Here is a clip from the interview in which the actor relives his American Idol snub from Scotty McCreery.

Jack Black took to The Tonight Show last night to promote this new dark comedy Bernie.  Topics of conversation included his 5-year-old son’s movie, the provocative cover of a Tenacious D album, and his new film.  The actor also talked about visiting prison to research his role.

Jack Black Promotes Murder Comedy “Bernie” on “Today”

Today had on Jack Black this morning to create awareness for his new film Bernie.  The conversation pretty much centers around the difficulties in converting a true story into a dark comedy.  It was a rather tough effort to promote, and at one point the actor requests to talk about the animated Pirates movie rather than Bernie.

The actor actually stuck around for a second segment on Today which aired during the morning program’s fourth hour.  This time around he gets a little more in-depth on the movie’s backdrop.

Matthew McConaughey Steals Show in First Official Trailer for “Bernie” Starring Jack Black

Check out the first trailer for Bernie–a comedy starring Jack Black as a mortician who marries and murders a wealthy widow and then tries to hide it.  Matthew McConaughey is also in the movie.  Look for this one to hit theaters on April 27.
