Jack Black was on Conan last night to promote his new dark comedy Bernie–a film in which he plays a mortician that goes to great lengths to make everyone believe a wealthy widow was alive after he kills her. Here are two more clips from the interview. The first one has Jack Black talking about trying to get his kids into Hebrew School despite his atheism while the second has the actor singing Gospel music.
Jack Black took to The Tonight Show last night to promote this new dark comedy Bernie. Topics of conversation included his 5-year-old son’s movie, the provocative cover of a Tenacious D album, and his new film. The actor also talked about visiting prison to research his role.
Today had on Jack Black this morning to create awareness for his new film Bernie. The conversation pretty much centers around the difficulties in converting a true story into a dark comedy. It was a rather tough effort to promote, and at one point the actor requests to talk about the animated Pirates movie rather than Bernie.
The actor actually stuck around for a second segment on Today which aired during the morning program’s fourth hour. This time around he gets a little more in-depth on the movie’s backdrop.
Check out the first trailer for Bernie–a comedy starring Jack Black as a mortician who marries and murders a wealthy widow and then tries to hide it. Matthew McConaughey is also in the movie. Look for this one to hit theaters on April 27.
