‘Warm Bodies’ Wins Super Bowl Weekend

warm bodiesSeeing how the Sunday figures will definitely be deflating the box office’s full weekend results, we knew how rankings would turn up as early as yesterday morning.  The conclusion at the time?  Warm Bodies is a hit, Bullet to the Head not so much.  That is still the case as we look into today’s numbers.

Jonathan Levine’s zombie rom-com debuted to $20 million which is the director’s number one opening yet (only three releases, but those included 50/50 so it is worth something.)  The movie is also likely going to be the recipient of Valentine’s Day boost as it looks like it has appeal across gender lines, making this is pretty big deal for everyone attached.  That includes Nicholas Hoult who is a big up-and-comer. Second Official Trailer for ‘Bullet to the Head’ Starring Stallone

There is not much to say about this one other than Sylvester Stallone wants your February cash.  His next film Bullet to the Head has him teaming with a cop to bring down some guy who nabbed his daughter for whatever reason.  Needless to say, we hope the cliches are left at the door, but that may only be a pipe dream.  For now, take a look at trailer number two for the action flick from director Walter Hill. Sylvester Stallone Stars in ‘Bullet to the Head’ Trailer: ‘I’m A People Person’

While this one will definitely not get as much press as Arnold Schwarzenegger’s Last Stand trailer from earlier today, Sylvester Stallone also has a new solo project coming out and the first promo just landed.  This one stars the actor as a hitman who partners with a cop to bring down a common enemy.

The production from Prometheus producer Walter Hill looks to be the kind of high-octane actioner that Stallone is known for and a little bit more.  In fact, this one might just be a shade more interesting than The Expendables even though the closest thing to an exciting co-star Stallone has is Game of Thrones alum Jason Momoa who plays a villain.
