Dennis Quaid Visits ‘Jimmy Kimmel’ for Indie Film ‘At Any Price’

dennis quaid vegasFilm and television star Dennis Quaid hit Jimmy Kimmel Live on Monday night as the actor is hoping to drum up some buzz for his CBS show Vegas as well as his upcoming limited release At Any Price. Ratings for the former are pretty terrible and the network has not decided what it is going to do with their period drama going forward. Schedule jostling is not exactly a good thing for the series’ older audience (last week’s episode actually aired on Saturday because of the late breaking news concerning the Boston Marathon Bomber.) Many are expecting Vegas to be cancelled. Nonetheless, Quaid is out there doing his best to ensure that does not happen, or at the very least, that people might still like him after experimenting with a small screen role. Continue Reading

Dennis Quaid in Negotiations to Star in CBS Pilot with Michael Chiklis

Dennis Quaid looks to have finally found a small screen series that he has been looking for, and it is a whopper of a project.  According to Vulture, the Footloose actor is currently in negotiations to co-star alongside Michael Chiklis in a CBS pilot called Ralph Lamb.  The series is about the true story of 1960′s Las Vegas sheriff (Quaid) and his gangster nemesis (Chiklis).

What’s more is that there is a high profile behind-the-scenes tandem working on this prospective drama.  Nicholas Pileggi is the series creator.  This is the guy who wrote Good Fellas and Casino.  Also, the director for the pilot episode is pretty decent as well.  James Mangold who is best known for directing Walk the Line and Cop Land has been tapped for the job.  He most recently directed an episode of the soon-to-air CBS drama NYC 22.

A whole lot of eyes will be pegged to this project going forward, so stay tuned for more on Ralph Lamb in the months to come.

“Switch” Casts Jennifer Aniston and Dennis Quaid

Deadline has the story today that Jennifer Aniston is currently in talks to pair up with Dennis Quaid for her next movie.  The film is called Switch which is being adapted from a novel by Elmore Leonard, and it might be worth remembering if only for the fact that Modern Family’s Ty Burrell is already on board the project.

Should the duo jump aboard, they will be playing husband and wife.  Aniston would be given the role of Mickey Dawson who is kidnapped and held for ransom while Quaid’s character would be that of a crooked real estate developer who simply sees this as an opportunity to be rid of his wife.  Naturally, the story progresses to the point where Mickey Dawson teams with her kidnappers to get revenge on her husband and take all of his money.
