Fox has shed some light on their plans for the end of their cult favorite sci-fi series Fringe. The network says that the show’s fifth and final season will finish running on Friday, January 18th in a two-hour special. The episode will also mark the 100th installment of the J.J. Abrams-produced program which will obviously be overshadowed, but it is worth mentioning that the show that has been ‘losing money’ for the past few years has made it to the milestone. There is some late breaking news tonight that should excite fans of the cult-favorite Fox drama Fringe. Series showrunner J.H. Wyman and executive producer J.J. Abrams are partnering again for yet another show and it looks like it pays to be loyal to Abrams’ Bad Robot production company because Fox has landed this one in what has been described as a competitive situation

It has been nearly a decade since 2003′s Daredevil starring Ben Affleck failed to develop into a mega blockbuster franchise, so now that the public has almost forgotten the blind, but super sonic super hero Fox has decided to give the super hero another go in the form of a franchise reboot.
