Jessica Pare has quietly made a name for herself over the past three seasons of Mad Men, filling the shoes of Megan. It is hard to imagine just a few years ago she was a non-essential cast member at best, but she eventually wound up having the same notoriety of January Jones or Peggy Olson player Elisabeth Moss. That said, let’s take a look at her pit stop by Jimmy Fallon Wednesday night. 
January Jones took to Late Night with Jimmy Fallon Monday evening. The Mad Men star was on the talker to promote her reprisal in the role of Betty on the hit AMC period drama. Matthew Weiner’s award-winning program could hardly benefit from such appearances though as ratings are as consistent as they come with ratings still north of the 1.0 18-49 mark after two weekends. That is expected to drop-off like last year, but viewers always seem to catch back up when the program’s latest season inevitably hits Netflix, bringing viewership back by time the show returns for yet another year on the air.

Vince Vaughn took to Jimmy Fallon last night promoting his new film The Internship in conjunction with his upcoming stint hosting Saturday Night Live. The promos for his second turn at helming the sketch variety series hit the web Wednesday, so 
The new lead of Scary Movie is Ashley Tisdale who we last noticed on a recurring role in the FX series Sons of Anarchy. She has some pretty big shoes to fill as she is tasked with replacing the departing Anna Faris as the franchise anchor, thus why yesterday’s stop by Jimmy Fallon did not hurt. The slapstick property is looking like a $20+ million open which might be enough to get the film in the top spot its first weekend. Its chief rival will be the Jackie Robinson movie 42 which stars Chadwick Boseman and Harrison Ford. 
Julianna Margulies was on Jimmy Fallon last night to plug her critically-acclaimed CBS drama The Good Wife. The show recently received its renewal for next season despite reasonably soft ratings in its Sunday evening time slot. Margulies usually has something interesting to say which is why we acknowledge the star’s latest appearance on the talk show circuit.

There is even more late night news to cover tonight, specifically that pertaining to the responses from Jay Leno and Jimmy Fallon respectively. Apparently, NBC does not really care if you tune in tonight to see what they have to say because they released the monologue jokes to give us some sort of idea of just how congenial Jay plans on being about this whole thing. Perhaps there is more, but it is doubtful Leno would want to devote a lot of time on his show to that. The take away here is that Fallon has confirmed a February swap. Luckily, you do not have to wait until 11:30 to get David Letterman’s response to The Tonight Show change-up. CBS has released a preview for tonight’s broadcast, featuring a sizable portion of his musings on the matter. As Dave points out, NBC announced 
It is official. Jay Leno is gone from The Tonight Show starting in Spring 2014. At long last, a network announcement has been made, adding that the show will move to New York and the Late Night succession plans are still being hammered out. It has been long rumored that Seth Meyers would be taking the reins of the 12:35 am time slot with news just yesterday saying things are entering the deal-making phase for that to happen. The broadcaster reportedly wanted to get their Tonight Show plans set in stone before striking a contract with Saturday Night Live’s head writer. Sources confirm that Fallon wrapped his new deal just yesterday. 
Remember that Broadway play that Alec Baldwin got Shia LaBeouf fired from? Well, it is finally happening and 30 Rock alum Alec Baldwin is off promoting it. Last night, the screen actor was on Jimmy Fallon to plug the production entitled Orphans. He also talked about April Fools’ Day and a prank he played on his daughter several years ago. 
This past week marked the return of HBO’s smash hit fantasy drama Game of Thrones in which Emilia Clarke has a major role. She plays Daenerys Targaryen on the program who is best know as “The Mother of Dragons.” The fan favorite actress was on Jimmy Fallon last night thus why we bring this up. It looks the network is finally preparing to announce something, or at least manipulate certain current events to their advantage, as tonight Jay Leno will finally speak with Jimmy Fallon. This looks to be a comedy bit first and foremost, and considering it will land on April Fools’ Day, it very much could be nothing at all.
