Maroon 5 frontman and The Voice panelist Adam Levine was on Jimmy Kimmel Live last night to promote The Voice. Ratings are pretty okay for the talent competition series, so he will be back on the show’s next two cycles. That does come up in regards to his colleagues, but the highlights of the conversation came when Levine talked about his friendship with Jonah Hill and doing drugs at a Denny’s. Continue Reading
Alice Eve was on Jimmy Kimmel Live last night. The actress is the new addition to the Enterprise crew this go around for Star Trek Into Darkness, but she is not really ‘known’ to the masses just yet. Her credits include Men in Black III and She’s Out of My League. Take a look at her talk show appearance in which she chats mostly about Trek. Continue Reading
Fresh off receiving a second season renewal, Nashville star Connie Britton took to Jimmy Kimmel Live on Thursday to promote her country music-based drama. The Friday Night Lights alumna talked about a few things including how she felt like an imposter. Her show’s season finale airs Wednesday, May 22. Continue Reading
Remember Jerry Gergich from Parks & Recreation? Well, he is actually a pretty funny guy in real life named Jim O’Heir. The comic actor was on Jimmy Kimmel last night via a segment meant at skewering Abercrombie for refusing to make a shirt beyond a large. Continue Reading
Chris Pine was on Jimmy Kimmel Live last night, promoting Star Trek Into Darkness once more. Everything that needs to be said about the movie has probably already been said (which is why the actor regurgitated a story we just heard from Simon Pegg,) so here is the quick recap. 85%+ on Rotten Tomatoes and $14+ million through the end of Thursday. Hollywood expects $100 by Sunday. We shall see. Continue Reading
We have seen a lot of J.J. Abrams in recent days as he was out to promote the today’s nationwide release of Star Trek Into Darkness. Last night saw the director take to Jimmy Kimmel Live where he talked Star Wars once more, this time taking fan questions not unlike what Harrison Ford was subjected to in his recent visit. This one was a bit better though with cameos from Lando and the original Captain Kirk, William Shatner. Continue Reading
Kerry Washington has a new movie coming out today. The pic is a Craig Robinson comedy called Peeples which has The Office star crashing a family reunion in the Hamptons to ask for his girlfriend’s hand in marriage. Conversation was more heavily surrounding Washington’s ABC drama Scandal though as Jimmy notes it is somewhat of a hit. Let’s put things in perspective though in that the drama is merely a hit relatively speaking when compared to the broadcast network’s other new shows with a 2.6 18-49 and 8 million viewers the last time out. Continue Reading
Tobey Maguire was on Jimmy Kimmel Live last night to talk about his new film The Great Gatsby. Projections I see have the film doing between $30-40 million thanks to a lot of hype and the well-cast ensemble. Reviews suggest that word-of-mouth could be weak, so there is a chink in its armor. Naturally, that never came up during Maguire’s appearance as he mostly talked about his big basketball game with the president, War Machine, and Danny Ocean. Continue Reading
Zoe Saldana took to Jimmy Kimmel Live last night to promote her big new release Star Trek Into Darkness. The Avatar actress plays Uhura in this particular franchise which is yet another one of those nerd-heavy properties she has taken part in. Interestingly enough, Kimmel did not ask about those Avatar sequels or her role in Guardians of the Galaxy (another Marvel Studios blockbuster.) That was okay though as Star Trek has enough depth to carry and interview. Continue Reading
Simon Pegg was on Jimmy Kimmel Live Tuesday night, marking the first late night talk show appearance to promote Star Trek Into Darkness in any capacity. The appearance was pretty brief (blame Downey for taking all the time,) but it was great to see the Paul star on the circuit. He brought a good story along with him, revealing that they had a very high-concept prank on the set of Star Trek Into Darkness at Benedict Cumberbatch’s expense. Continue Reading
Gabourey Sidibe showed up on Jimmy Kimmel Live last night. The actress is out and about promoting the return of The Big C which is ending its run after three seasons. Its current iteration is that of a mini-series subtitled Hereafter meant to wrap things up without committing to a full season order. In other words, it was cancelled. That seems to be okay though because Sidibe already found a new gig as she was recently added to the cast of the third year run for American Horror Story over on FX. Continue Reading
Jimmy Kimmel made the TIME 100 this year, and now we know why. They wanted him to give an epic toast in which he gets absolutely hammered thanks in part to his future time slot rival Jimmy Fallon. Here is the footage which TIME posted online much to our delight.
It is nice to see Topher Grace is still working. The man probably still best-known for leading the Fox comedy That 70′s Show and his subsequent portrayal of Venom in Spider-Man 3 showed up on Jimmy Kimmel Live Wednesday evening. His newest film is The Big Wedding, an R-comedy coming out of Lionsgate. The actor has a ton of recognizable co-stars in this one which probably gives him only the sixth highest billing on the poster. Those include Robert De Niro, Diane Keaton, Katherine Heigl, Amanda Seyfried, and Robin Williams. Continue Reading
Film and television star Dennis Quaid hit Jimmy Kimmel Live on Monday night as the actor is hoping to drum up some buzz for his CBS show Vegas as well as his upcoming limited release At Any Price. Ratings for the former are pretty terrible and the network has not decided what it is going to do with their period drama going forward. Schedule jostling is not exactly a good thing for the series’ older audience (last week’s episode actually aired on Saturday because of the late breaking news concerning the Boston Marathon Bomber.) Many are expecting Vegas to be cancelled. Nonetheless, Quaid is out there doing his best to ensure that does not happen, or at the very least, that people might still like him after experimenting with a small screen role. Continue Reading
Harrison Ford was out last night doing some late press on his Jackie Robinson biopic 42. The film featured the Star Wars actor in a supporting role of last weekend’s number one movie. This was a big hit for Warner Bros. as they did not at all expect to near $30 million in their debut considering its baseball roots. Fans of the genre are historically slow in making their way to the theater but racial themes prevailed much like it did for The Help 20 months prior. Continue Reading
