Hacktivist Julian Assange, will be voicing himself on the upcoming 500th episode of The Simpsons.  The news comes from Entertainment Weekly that Matt Groening had moved on the opportunity to cast the WikiLeaks founder who had previously expressed a desire to appear on the long-running cartoon comedy.  His role was recorded at an undisclosed location where Assange was directed remotely by series producers as the internationally wanted man is currently under house arrest in Britain.

In terms of how he will fit into The Simpsons universe, that week’s plot will center on the town trying to kick out the Simpsons which leads the family to go off the grid where they discover their new neighbor, Julian Assange.  This episode of The Simpsons will air on February 19.
