Saturday Night Live is all new this weekend with host and musical guest Justin Bieber. The Biebs has cameo’d before on the long-running sketch series, but this will by far be his longest appearance to date. Depending on how things go, the show could be a big deal as SNL paved the way to big screen stardom for musicians in the past including Justin Timberlake. Here are the promos which put Bieber alongside cast member Kenan Thompson. Continue Reading
It is now confirmed that Justin Bieber will be hosting Saturday Night Live next month. The pop star took to Twitter earlier this week to tell his 30 million plus followers that a return to the sketch series is in the cards. Billboard has since confirmed the story and dated the appearance (which will include a run as the show’s musical guest) for February 9. When people look at Bieber, they often see comparison to Justin Timberlake who used the long-running NBC staple as a launch pad towards an acting career after the hype died down, so the bar is set pretty high. There may no longer be SNL Digital Shorts, but is it too much to ask for an equivalent to “D**k in a Box”? Continue Reading
Here is a video circulating the web this afternoon that is getting a lot of play. James Franco has his very own lip-sync music video out and what is surprising is that it is actually better than a whole lot of his movies. The Oz actor took part in a bit alongside Pretty Little Liars actress Ashley Benson who happens to be Franco’s rumored girlfriend. This is classic stuff that reminds us that before the star messed up the Oscars, he used to host some pretty stellar episodes of Saturday Night Live. Speaking of which, Justin Bieber has alluded to his turn at hosting the sketch comedy series, so there could always be a well-produced comeback in the works from the pop singer. Continue Reading
In a sheer moment of shock this morning, I was floored to see Justin Bieber’s mom on The Today Show this morning being interviewed by Matt Lauer. Why would she be on the program? We do not see other pop parents out there on morning talk, so needless to say it grabbed my attention enough to watch. Instead of promoting her kid’s latest album, Pattie Mallette is out promoting a book she wrote called Nowhere But Up that chronicles her uphill battles before giving birth to the Biebs at the age of 18. It is a fascinating story for those of you who never heard of this before thus why I encourage the view. Oh, and the other revelation from this interview: Justin Bieber is so famous that his mom has 1 million Twitter followers. Wow. Continue Reading
A rare opportunity of seeing Ashton Kutcher and Justin Bieber together in one place at once took place last night. The pair were on to promote the return of Punk’d. Here is the appearance from the duo where Ashton complains about Justin ‘stealing his swagger’ and much, much more.
Check out this brand new teaser promo for the return of Punk’d. It highlights an episode where Justin Bieber makes Taylor Swift think she ruined a wedding which undoubtedly will go down as a classic segment in the hidden camera series’ history.
Punk’d is set to make a comeback on March 19 with a slew of youthful guest hosts this time around. Last night, it was revealed that among the first guest hosts would be Justin Bieber, Miley Cyrus, and Kellan Lutz which will be joining the likes of MTV reality show veteran Bam Margera and Dax Shepard who was on the series’ first run. The new formula of not having Ashton Kutcher anchor the show might help the franchise last longer this time around as having guest hosts opens up a wider range of possible targets for the series to punk who certainly will not be expecting it. Here is a sneak peek from the revival where Khloe Kardashian-Odom is made to think a pizza delivery boy caught his…Well, you will see. Continue Reading
Mark Wahlberg has a basketball drama coming up and for the first time he revealed why he cast Justin Bieber in the role opposite him. He says its intuition, but even Wahlberg admits in the second video that he is a producer which normally translates to “I want my film to make a ton of money.” Continue Reading
MTV has confirmed today that their Ashton Kutcher-produced reality show Punk’d will indeed be making its comeback. That has been known for sometime now, but with the cable network now confirming the plans to bring back the hit celebrity prank series it makes it all the more real. There is no confirmation of the rumors that Justin Bieber is the host of the show though just yet as audiences will have to wait and see if that is the case when show’s revival gets unveiled during MTV’s New Year’s Eve celebration.
