HBO has confirmed today that they have picked up the Larry David project which was originally setup at Fox Searchlight. The movie is done in improv fashion like the writer’s long-running series Curb Your Enthusiasm.
Starring is Larry David, Jon Hamm, and Michael Keaton under the direction of Greg Mottola (Paul, Superbad.) Given the talent here, the movie looks to be a winner, so the question turns to ‘why are they making this on television.’ The answer comes in the form of a stab at the production budget.
