If you have not had your fill of Hemsworth family movies this year yet, you are in luck. The is yet another film from the Hemsworth brood releasing in 2012 called Love & Honor that stars The Hunger Games actor Liam Hemsworth. In this one, the actor plays a soldier going to the Vietnam wall who falls in love with a hippy girl who at first rejects him. While it has been done to death, such period romantic comedies with such a youthful cast are somewhat rare, so that might make this one worthy of receiving attention.
This trailer is very much something that would skew female, so I am guessing there is an agreement between Liam and Chris Hemsworth of a split between target demographics. Naturally, Chris has the more male-skewing war movie Red Dawn for his next theatrical effort. Continue Reading
Good news for fans of The Hunger Games cast member Liam Hemsworth. The actor is getting some great roles already, and the first of which is the lead in Paranoia–a corporate espionage thriller directed by Robert Luketic. Add that onto an IMDB slate that includes the sequel to The Expendables and Catching Fire and you could reasonably say his star shines just as bright as his Thor-starring brother Chris Hemsworth who is set to appear in both The Avengers and Snow White and the Huntsman later this year.
Other stars reportedly circling this project are Harrison Ford and Gary Oldman who are no strangers to spy-based features. Ford filled the shoes of Jack Ryan for two theatrical efforts in the 90′s and Oldman is coming off of Tinker, Tailor, Soldier, Spy. With these additions, Paranoia could be a hot property going forward thus the noteworthy status of Hemsworth’s casting.
Hot off the release of The Hunger Games, Liam Hemsworth took to Conan where he promoted the film even more. He also discussed fighting with his brothers when he was a kid.

Hollywood has a hit franchise set to launch this Friday, and what’s more is they know it. The film saga is called The Hunger Games–based on a series of Suzanne Collins’ novels that is set in a post-apocalyptic world where an annual fight-to-the-death battle is held for the amusement of a television audience. It comes a tad ironic that this movie is the juggernaut that it is as one of the story’s central themes is the media’s tendency to over sensationalize tragic circumstances in our modern society, but nonetheless big things are expected from the Gary Ross-directed feature.
Analysts are ready to cement The Hunger Games as the 12th billion-dollar film ever made. The data is showing that the movie has more early interest from a more diverse audience than any of the Twilight films. Not only are females more interested, but the male demographic interest as a whole greatly transcends that particular franchise. The split is coming in at about 60-40 which is actually closing in on what we are seeing nowadays for films without gender specific targets, and that is what is driving these stellar, 9-figure initial estimates for an opening weekend.
While the book’s popularity is helping to drive this movie’s hot tracking, it is also the prospect of a Twilight -like explosion in notoriety for the series’ stars: Jennifer Lawrence, Josh Hutcherson, and Liam Hemsworth (the brother of Thor actor Chris Hemsworth). While Lawrence has been known for her roles in X-Men: First Class and Winter’s Bone, the other two actors remain relative unknowns at this time among the mainstream public. Hemsworth is the more likely of the two to see an imminent surge to superstar status as he is set to star in another blockbuster effort later this year, The Expendables 2.
Be sure to check out the weekend numbers as it will definitely be entertaining to see how high The Hunger Games will go based on its installed fan base, general hype, and solid reviews. There could be some records falling through the three-day period beginning Friday, so stay tuned for coverage of that as well.

Relatively has just added Liam Hemsworth to Timeless–a story of a young man who devotes himself to the scientific achievement of turning back time to reunite with his lost love. The Hunger Games actor will be playing the lead in the feature film directed by Phillip Noyce (Salt).
Despite losing the lead in Thor to his brother (Chris Hemsworth), Liam seems to be doing just fine. In addition to being cast in Hollywood’s latest juggernaut franchise The Hunger Games, he was also recently cast alongside Dwayne Johnson in Empire State. That film is on target for a 2013 release. However, it should be noted that with The Avengers and Snow White and the Huntsman due out in 2013, his older brother looks to have the more blockbuster resume of the two.
Deadline is reporting that Empire State, based on the true story of a 1982 armored car company robbery, is about to land Dwayne Johnson in the role of Ransone. The film already added The Hunger Games star Liam Hemsworth, so hiring the wrestler-turned-actor would make this an even bigger deal. Johnson has been accredited with helping turn the Fast and the Furious franchise into a box office sensation and ever since his in-demand status has been through the roof. Shortly after the box office success of Fast Five, the actor was added to G.I. Joe: Retaliation with the hopes that Johnson could keep that franchise from dying after limping out of the gate in 2009.
Despite turning into one of the hottest action stars on the planet, the actor has not turned his back on those hokey-family movies that he does. He will next be seen in Journey 2: The Mysterious Island in February which is the sequel to 2008′s Journey to the Center of the Earth. For fans who are not into the tamer versions of Dwayne Johnson, G.I. Joe 2 comes at the end of June .
