What you are about to watch is absolutely amazing and a definite reason to tune into Parks & Recreation this week. The show not only takes on the tired governmental practice known as the filibuster, but they do it with style by bringing in Patton Oswalt to ramble on and on about Disney’s upcoming Star Wars film and its tie-in with The Avengers, X-Men, and more. This is most likely going to be cut out of the episode aside from a few minutes although viewers may just find themselves enamored enough with the comic’s rant to watch all eight minutes of uncut footage. And just when you thought the Batman parodies were over with, there is yet another one vying for our attention. This is undoubtedly near the top of the food chain though as it has Patton Oswalt playing The Penguin opposite a very, very ignorant Batman who thinks when he kills people it merely puts them to sleep. It is better than the explanation, let me assure you. Hit the jump for the view. Who would have thought Oswalt would be so awesome in a Batman movie? Someone get on that. Continue Reading
Patton Oswalt is out promoting his VOD release Nature Calls, so he found time for a trip to Conan. The appearance did not disappointment as the comedian brought a stellar talk show story thanks in part to his racist three-year-old daughter. To his credit, it is not his fault beyond the decision to let her watch The Lion King. After that, Oswalt ran a bit with fellow comic Brian Posehn to give Mitt Romney “advice” as to how he will need to deal with the town hall format of this week’s Presidential debate. Continue Reading
Because Patton Oswalt is one of my favorite people to follow on Twitter, I feel obligated to post the trailer for his video-on-demand release Nature Calls. The red-band promo just hit the web tonight in which Oswalt plays the polar-opposite brother of Johnny Knoxville. If that was not enough, the plot has Oswalt as a scout master who hijacks his nephew’s sleep over. Good times. Who knows? Maybe this could become the next Bachelorette. Continue Reading
Earlier today, the Twitter followers of comedian Patton Oswalt (Young Adult, Ratatouille) were privy to a rare skewering of one of the leaders in theatrical distribution as the comic turned to the social media platform in order to vent his frustration with being turned away from a 1 PM showing of Prometheus. There is a new Funny or Die video that is making the rounds called Internet Troll with Patton Oswalt. This one a complete masterpiece for anyone familiar with the term ‘trolling’ in regards to commenters on forums, YouTube videos, etc. Good stuff from the Young Adult actor. Continue Reading
Patton Oswalt has a new comedy special coming up, and he took to Conan last night to promote the Comedy Central special. In the following clip from the interview, the Young Adult actor acknowledged his recent career success before going into a lengthy description about how he remains depressed despite everything right in his life. He also talks smack about Nickelback and Creed.
In this second clip, the comedian talked about potty training his three-year-old daughter.
Deadline is reporting that both Patton Oswalt and Johnny Knoxville have joined an untitled comedy project. The two will play bickering brothers who take a troop of boys camping. Needless to say, the trip does not go exactly as planned. The film will be produced by Big Beach which also produced the upcoming Paul Rudd comedy, Our Idiot Brother. Continue Reading
