Last weekend’s box office report had Breaking Dawn 2 handily beating 007 for the gold, but this week things seemed more up for grabs as the latest Twilight film was predictably hit with a sizable drop-off (-69%.) The Summit-produced series added another $43.1 million to its war chest, bringing its total to $227 million. Skyfall found $36.0 million during the same period which is only down 12% over the week prior.

Wednesday does not say much, but the official figures are out for the box office lineup going into Thanksgiving Weekend. The top ten are as follows:
Motion posters are always worth the quick view because the provide much more than a snapshot of the picture at its best, but also the tone a film strikes to take without having to spoil any footage. Today’s new offering in the category is for DreamWorks Animation’s heavily-anticipated Rise of the Guardians–a feature that combines all the holiday legends into one giant film with a vocal cast inclusive of Chris Pine and Hugh Jackman among others. We expect this film to give Wreck-It Ralph a run for its money as animation king of November, but that will be up to the audiences who will likely show up to both offerings. 
Check out the latest trailer for DWA’s Rise of the Guardians. This time around, Chris Pine’s Jack Frost gets some much needed love as feature’s first trailer noticeably left him out in favor of Alec Baldwin’s Santa. 
DreamWorks Animation may be just one player in the increasingly crowded field for computer animation, but the studio is definitely leaving its mark on the industry. This new trailer from the studio is for a movie called Rise of the Guardians that features an ensemble of holiday icons. These types of movies always do well, and the vocal cast that includes Chris Pine, Alec Baldwin, and Hugh Jackman certainly won’t hurt. Look for this one to hit theaters on November 21.
