Netflix Strikes Two-Year Deal For Discovery Communications Programming

Netflix LogoMore of your favorite Discovery Communications shows will be coming to Netflix soon as a two-year deal has been made between the two companies.  The deal is pretty much a renewal of the current agreement that specifies previously aired seasons of shows that have run on TLC, Animal Planet, Investigation Discovery and Science and Military channels.  Notably absent from the deal are OWN and Hub programs. The Science Channel Gets New Name and Logo

Discovery has announced today that they will be re-branding The Science Channel.  The channel’s new name is simply Science, and their logo is completely redone.  This is not uncommon to do for growing networks that have refined their target market after several years of steady growth.  You may recall a few years back that Sci-fi Channel changed their name to the ‘edgier’ Syfy citing that the new name was more appealing to their audience.
