In addition to being unimpressed with Will Ferrell and Kristen Wiig’s Golden Globes antics, Oscar-winner Tommy Lee Jones has a new movie coming out from director Peter Webber (Hannibal Rising) that has the actor playing General MacArthur opposite Matthew Fox. It definitely appears to be more so a starring vehicle for the latter though as the plot deals with his character’s decision on what to do with Emperor Hirohito at the end of World War II. Meryl Streep does not need big budget special effects to draw audience and critical recognition and nothing showcases that more than her latest movie Hope Springs. The movie about an older couple seeking marriage counseling advice opens in theaters nationwide today and the reviews are in: It’s a winner.
About three weeks from now, Men in Black III will be hitting theaters, bringing with it the idea that we are not alone. The only comforting notion about that scenario is that there is a secret government agency working to keep a lid on it all with the likes of Tommy Lee Jones and Will Smith making sure the world never comes to end. Shocker. It looks like it is up to Smith to save the world and K’s existence this time around. May 25 is the release date.
