CBS has just released their summer schedule changes for those who might be interested. The network has been well aware of the success its broadcast rivals and cable has achieved during the off-season, and they are rightfully concerned that it could harm their position going forward if they continue to treat May through August like it does not exist. What they came up with was a new baking show and a dramatic series called Under the Dome in addition to yet another season of the formerly-parked procedural Unforgettable. It is always unfortunate when CBS cancels one of their shows. These programs tend to do very well with viewership, but are brushed aside because there is simply no more room for new shows come fall. Today brings news of the cancellation of four of the network’s series’ with one of them being long-running veteran spin-off CSI: Miami.
