Despite tying up most of the loose strings with last night’s finale, there is a lot more Shameless left in the tank. Its premium network home renewed the show back in January, giving the William H. Macy/Emmy Rossum-led series a vote of confidence going forward. No footage is out just yet; however, the network did put out its trademark ‘come back next year’ promo at the end of the season-ender. Could Lip end up joining the army when his brother inevitably gets found out? Will Frank find some sucker to donate some organs? Will Hit the jump for the view. Continue Reading
Based on a novel by Matthew F. Jones, A Single Shot will hit the big screen later this year, pitting hunter John Moon (as played by Sam Rockwell) against a gang of criminals. William H. Macy is also on board the effort which is being directed by David M. Rosenthal. This has the hallmarks of a direct to on-demand release, so we expect that although it does look pretty good compared to such features. Judge for yourself as the first trailer just landed online. Only three more episodes left to air this current season of Shameless. Things are still moving rapidly on the story front as Mandy (Emma Greenwell) just hit Karen (Laura Wiggins) with a car, landing her in the hospital. We know from last night’s teaser promo for the upcoming episode that Lip (Jeremy Allen White) will begin suspecting Mandy of the hit and run, but now we get a scene with the two quite possibly before those suspicions arise in order to promote next week’s outing. Also thrown out on the net is a future clip where William H. Macy’s Frank Gallagher continues speaking up for gay rights. Continue Reading
The clips are here for next week’s all-new episode of Shameless. The show is a bit less dramatic than recent weeks, but stuff is still certainly happening. Sunday left Lip’s “ghetto marriage” in disarray while Frank found a new home with some random guy desperate for a domestic partnership. That should help explain the following clips with feature Jeremy Allen White (Lip) and William H. Macy (Frank.) Continue Reading
William H. Macy visited Conan last night to promote the on-going third season of his Showtime series Shameless. The show was recently renewed for a fourth season by the premium network following some pretty above average ratings. The channel continues to grow in popularity, and Macy’s hour-long drama currently ranks third in their arsenal of programming behind only Dexter and Homeland. Continue Reading
William H. Macy visited Jimmy Fallon last night in part to promote the upcoming third season of his Showtime drama, Shameless. The television show is among one of the most widely watched programs on the premium network, but it is yet to gain a lot of attention in the trades or from critics. Hopefully the series will see 2013 as a turning point because it really is a high-quality dramedy with a growing audience. Emmy Rossum stars in Shameless with William H. Macy supporting as an impoverished Chicago family’s dead-beat father. Why he has not garnered award recognition for this role just yet is anyone’s guess. Continue Reading
Showtime has finally seen fit to display their full-length trailer for Shameless season three. Since footage has been landing online for a while now, we cannot help but wonder what took the premium network so long as premiere day is about a month away. Nonetheless, it is welcomed by fans who have missed the impoverished Chicago-based Gallaghers led by Emmy Rossum’s Fiona and everyone’s favorite deadbeat father played by William H. Macy. For the most part, there is absolutely nothing new to talk about that has not already been said pertaining to the show’s previous season three spots. Steve and Fiona’s relationship continues to be front and center with a whole new set of problems while Cameron Managhan’s Ian Gallagher is up to his old streetwise tricks. Hit the jump for the view. The Gallagher’s are coming back! The promotional campaign for Showtime’s returning dramedy about a dysfunctional, lower class family in Chicago is hitting full steam as the premium network has unloaded a lengthy sneak peek and a longer television spot. The former chronicles the future of Fiona (Emmy Rossum) and Jimmy (Justin Chatwin) which naturally hits some more ups and down going forward. The latter is more like a trailer than anything else with a little redundant material. Hit the jump for the view. Continue Reading
Check out this new trailer for Fox Searchlight’s The Sessions. The film is about a paraplegic played by Mark O’Brien who looks for a professional sex surrogate and finds one in Helen Hunt’s Cheryl Cohen Greene. Continue Reading
Jimmy Kimmel Live had William H. Macy on Thursday night to promote his Showtime series Shameless. The show is not running anytime soon, so the actor talked about how he is passing the time before shooting begins for season three in June. Two words: Motorcycle Trip. He also discussed playing maybe the worst guy ever on Shameless.
This past Sunday, Showtime debuted the second season of their number three show to series high ratings. It is only fitting the premium network would try to maintain the momentum by launching their typical week-to-week clips and other bonus footage, and that is why today fans can get a glimpse of whats in store for the current season from this new trailer just released. Enjoy. Continue Reading
With the mid-season returns of many shows starting to pop up, one of the fan favorites has to be Showtime’s Shameless which will begin its second year run tonight. The series boasts a cast lead by Emmy Rossum as the struggling older sister who helps raise her siblings in the face poverty and a dead-beat, welfare-hogging father played by William H. Macy. Before a little show called Homeland exploded onto the scene, the dramedy’s freshman season had the most-watched first year finale in the past decade, thus the extra special attention being paid to this Chicago-based series.
The following is a trailer for the series’ second season.
